Murals				Faux finishes
The oldest form of art. The transformation of a ceiling, a wall, a door or other surface into something that was not originally there. A mural can change the feeling of a space, give it the Illusion of being something that it isn't.				(Fake finishes) Don't always believe what you see. Optical deception. To create the appearance of a different surface - i.e. 'painted stone' on a plain wall, 'wood grain' on a ceiling, 'marble' top on a wood table.

Trompe l'oeil				Site Specific
(Fool the eye) Visual deception. To cleverly /artistically fool the eye with paint. The difference between what we see and what our mind tells us should or should not be there. The perception of what is real.				Art created especially for a particular space.
